Zel Technologies Limited- Daniel Keller, Co-Founder of Flux, a new generation of scalable decentralized cloud infrastructure built for Web3, has invested in Tsao to accelerate the development of their new NFT platform built to reduce counterfeits and increase the transparency of high-end luxury watches.
Flux and Zelcore will be working with Tsao on a partnership to launch a new campaign that will make Tsao Baltimore the leader in the independent watch community while at the forefront of NFT Authentication, fixing a massive problem that plagues the watch community: knock-off devices. Flux and Tsao Baltimore will build an innovative and proprietary NFT Certification of Authenticity system that will allow owners to own a limited edition (tangible) timepiece and a digital asset that can be stored on a blockchain wallet as a non-fungible token. The connected NFT records the original purchase date, the number of times it has been transferred, the name of the timepiece, the edition number, and the year it was made. All data will be stored on the blockchain and hosted in Zelcore, a Web3 browser built on top of Flux.
"We're incredibly excited about this partnership. We're not only able to add value to each timepiece but incorporate an entirely new innovative technology that will change how we authenticate timepieces," says Alan Tsao, owner of Tsao Baltimore Watch Company. The new NFT Certificate of Authenticity system will be available in early 2023 and incorporated in every Tsao Baltimore timepiece offered in 2023 and beyond.
"Bringing disruptive technology to an over 230-plus-year-old product like watchmaking will showcase how even the oldest technologies can benefit from Web3 and Blockchain public ledger for technology innovation. I am excited to see Tsao and Alan lead the way for development that any high-end manufacturer of premium timepieces can adopt," Daniel Keller stated. "Just because you are an industry juggernaut does not mean you cannot iterate the technology underpinnings." Referring to larger brands such as Rolex, Omega, and more.
Tsao Baltimore was established in 2017, and after successfully launching several limited-edition timepieces, they expanded their business and started collaborating with new companies. The most recent collaboration was with Flux and their new product launch, Titan "Legacy." The partnership was a huge success as each new Titan timepiece comes engraved and issued with its NFT from the Kadena-KDA blockchain, stored on the Flux network housed in Zelcore. Upcoming releases include Kadena, Bitcoin, Solona, Zelcore, professional sports teams, and 1:1 NFT watches such as Bored Apes or other owned NFTs.
