Geoff Ratzlaff has been voted in by the public as the first-ever Inked OG

Colossal, known as the global leader in fundraising through online competitions for charities, is excited to announce that over $1.7 million has been raised from the 2023 Inked Originals Competition. The online fundraising campaign brought together thousands of tattoo enthusiasts to celebrate self-expression and compete for $20,000 and a feature in Inked Magazine.

Benefiting the New Freedom Project

The 2023 competition operated as a fundraising campaign on behalf of DTCare, a nationally registered 501(c)(3) charity/charitable grantmaker. The funds raised during the Inked Originals Competition went directly to DTCare, which will subsequently issue a grant to the New Freedom Project (NFP) totaling nearly $2 million. This donation will assist with the organization’s mission to mentor inmates during the reentry process through peer-to-peer relationships, vocational training, and services that protect the community and inspire dignity by empowering the innate goodness in every human being.

Introducing the 2023 Inked Original: Geoff Ratzlaff

From a tender age, this architectural technologist drew motivation from the tattoos adorning his three elder brothers, a source of inspiration that eventually prompted him to get his own ink at 15 years old. Ratzlaff's substantial back tattoo encompasses remarkable artistry, a captivating dark-realism theme, and an impressive size and placement.

“My favorite aspect of the tattoo is the tale it narrates, spanning the journey of my family from the tumultuous era of the Russian Revolution to the present day. Each inked detail encapsulates their evolving legacy, commemorating the trials, triumphs, and enduring spirit that have shaped their collective history over the decades,” said Ratzlaff, who will show off his incredible body art in the Spring 2024 issue of Inked Magazine.
